Robert Miller is a principal of Miller/Dolezal Design Group (MDDG). Born in San Francisco, Miller studied at the Rudolph Schaefer School of Design. He was President of the Peninsula Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), served on the ASID National Board and Chairman of the ASID Designer Show Houses for eleven years. He recently revived that role for the ASID Designer Showcase 2003 in Atherton, California, a show house touted by the press as one of the finest in Northern California. He was a principal at Flegal’s Home Furnishings in Menlo Park, California before starting MDDG. Bob supports Canada College design programs and was a member of the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce. Gardening and a recent undertaking of learning to play the piano top the list of Miller’s hobbies. The extraordinary style of the Miller/Dolezal Design Group is evidenced in prominent homes throughout California, Australia, Hawaii, Montana, and New York.
Robert Miller, ASID and Douglas Dolezal have the uncanny ability to transform interiors and change lives. For over ten years, Miller/Dolezal Design Group (MDDG) has been responsible for some of the most distinctive and impeccably designed homes in Northern California and beyond.
Combined, the business partners have over 40 years in custom interiors and architectural fine-tuning. Miller’s Zen-like personality makes one feel confident and calm. Dolezal’s zest for life and captivating charm instills enthusiasm for the entire design process. Combine that with their eye for detail, purity of vision and innate sense of style and you end up with quite a formidable team.
Interestingly, both believe that the most important element of a home’s interior design isn’t the furniture, window treatments or artwork…it’s the people who live in them. No wonder clients esteem their talent, trust their judgment and consider the relationship lifelong.
